Connecting Great People with Great Opportunities

We supply a full spectrum of construction workforce categories
General site workers
-
General construction workers handle manual labour such as site clearing, moving materials, basic digging and assisting tradesmen.
-
They support many tasks on building and civil engineering projects under the direction of supervisors.
Equipment and plant operators
-
Plant and machine operators run heavy machinery such as excavators, concrete mixers and compactors on site.
-
They are typically classified separately from general labour because of licensing and skills requirements
Foremen and supervisors
-
Construction foremen coordinate groups of tradesmen within a specific trade (for example, formwork or plumbing).
-
Construction supervisors oversee particular classes of work or sections of a project, ensuring quality, safety and progress.
Types of construction workers
Construction workers in Singapore fall into several broad types based on their roles and skills. These range from general labor roles to highly specialised trades and supervisory positions.
Common skilled construction trades include:
-
Concrete and rebar workers, formwork carpenters and steel structure assemblers.
-
Bricklayers and masons, tilers and stone layers for walls, floors and finishes.
-
Electricians, plumbers, sanitary plumbers and gas service workers handling M&E and piping systems.
Skill levels for migrant workers
-
Basic-Skilled workers meet minimum trade test or training requirements set by BCA and MOM to work in construction.
-
Higher-Skilled workers (often via CoreTrade or higher qualifications) enjoy better levy treatment and are recognised for greater experience and expertise.
